Ganymede is Coda Nova's second studio release, taking on a much brighter and more cinematic prog rock feel than the previous, "To Be a Burden". The song's subject matter is set in the distant future and from the perspective of an astronaut tasked with saving mankind by traveling to Jupiter's moon, Ganymede. This must be done in order to colonize the moon into a safe haven from a failing Earth, however much of the remaining people are reluctant to leave and demonize the mission in the media.
